Principles of Rolling Bearing Installation:

1. Installation force cannot be transmitted through rolling elements.

2. Precise control of bearing installation clearance.

3. Heating temperature must not exceed the maximum temperature of all bearing components.

4. Do not contaminate the bearing.

5. Do not magnetize the bearing.

　　To meet the above requirements, rolling bearing installation includes the following three methods for different operating conditions: mechanical installation, heating installation, and hydraulic installation.

　　 Mechanical Installation Method: Mainly for bearings with a shaft diameter less than 55mm (tolerance m6, k6) and smaller sizes or looser fits. The advantages of mechanical installation are convenience, speed, and simple operation, but it is also the easiest to cause bearing damage due to improper operation.

　　 Heating Installation Method: Mainly for bearings with a shaft diameter of 45mm (tolerance m6, n6) and larger sizes or tighter fits. There are many methods for heating bearings, mainly including oil bath heating, oven heating, and high-frequency/medium-frequency electromagnetic heating. Electromagnetic induction heating is widely used due to its high heating efficiency, low pollution, and easy temperature control, and is one of the commonly used methods for bearing installation, repair, and maintenance.

　　 Hydraulic Installation Method: Mainly for spherical roller bearings and cylindrical roller bearings with a tapered bore, as well as a small number of large cylindrical bore bearings. The main advantages of hydraulic installation are the precise control of bearing installation clearance, and repeated installation and removal have no adverse effects on the bearing and shaft. In addition, bearings using locking sleeves can be installed directly on the smooth shaft, effectively solving the problems of difficult stepped shaft processing and difficult control of the dimensional chain.
