Product Details
Introduction
SUND's tilting pad thrust bearings are composed of several freely tilting pads, offering high stability and load-carrying capacity. The product series is fully interchangeable with commonly used European and American thrust bearings;
Main Applications
Pumps, generators, gearboxes, compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines, expanders, etc.
Size Range
The maximum thrust outer diameter can reach 924mm
For larger sizes, please contact us
Lubrication
Tilting pad thrust bearings can be lubricated by immersion or direct oil injection. Immersion lubrication has a simple structure, with the bearing chamber filled with lubricating oil, mainly used in low-speed conditions; direct oil injection controls the oil supply through a nozzle, suitable for high-speed heavy-load conditions (especially conditions where the average linear velocity of the thrust plate exceeds 50m/s). This lubrication method effectively increases load-carrying capacity, reduces power loss, and lowers bearing temperature;

Optional Configurations
- Product Customization: Highly customized products can be provided to meet all customer needs;
- Temperature Monitoring: SUND can provide thermistors and thermocouples of various lengths and specifications; (Diagram)
- Hydrostatic Lifting: For applications with starting pressure exceeding 2.5Mpa, limited starting torque, long-term low-speed rotation, or frequent starts and stops, hydrostatic lifting configuration is provided; (Diagram)
- Self-Balancing Mechanism: For cases with uneven load distribution on the pads, a self-balancing mechanism can be designed. This structure consists of a closed adaptive adjustment mechanism that allows the most heavily loaded pad to yield, evenly distributing the load to the less loaded pads, significantly improving thrust distribution; (Diagram)
- Load Monitoring: Force sensors can be added to monitor the load on the bearing during operation without changing the original dimensions of the thrust bearing; (Diagram)
- Flexible Support: Similar to radial flexible support, thrust flexible support pads eliminate wear and high contact stress at the pivot point, have a simple structure, and provide a certain degree of axial deflection, allowing for static and dynamic eccentricity of the rotor;
